1. First Force stop the WhatsApp.
2. Now if you are using Root Explorer or Es File manager, open ‘/data/data/com.whatsapp/shared_prefs/com.whatsapp_preferences.xml‘
3. If you are using SharedPreference Editor, select ‘WhatsApp’ and then select ‘com.whatsapp_preferences‘.
4. Find ‘status_mode‘ and edit its value from ‘1’ and make it as ‘0’ and then update.
5. For Root Explorer or text editors, change

   <int name="status_mode" value="1"/>

   to:

   <int name="status_mode" value="0"/>

6. Save and Done.
