How to install Marshmallow Firmware on Honor 4X –

Method 1

1) First, download Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM for Honor 4x from above and extract it.

2) Now create a folder dload in the root of your SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.

3) Now go to the phone settings–>update and press the menu button.

4)  Now select choose Local update.

5) It will show the update.app file now tap on it to start the installation process.

6) Wait until the installation process is complete and then reboot your device., you have latest firmware

7) Done.

Method 2

1) Download  Stock ROM for Honor 4x from above and extract it.

2) Now create a folder dload in the root of your SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.

3) Now turn off your device.

4) Now press “Volume Up + Volume Down and Power Button” together. The update process will start automatically.

5) Now wait for some time to complete the process.

6) Done.

        I tried many times, it is not working. I tried HiCare app also, its useless. It is just redirecting to updater app.
        I contacted honor support, they are not giving exact solution to my problem, so i thought of posting here. They are asking me to wait for OTA update.
        Pls help. Thanks

    you do upgrade your android from 4.4.4 to 5.1 then try to install android marshmallow.

    hi.. I’ve downloaded the software through above link. But the Extract fails for dload folder when extracted through WinRAR.
    The error is ” ! C:\Users\Sidharth\Downloads\Honor 4X_Firmware_Che1-L04_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0_C675B511_India_Flipkart India Pvt Ltd.zip: Unexpected end of archive.”

      There is no root folder it means place file in SD card not inside some folder on sd card.
