How to Hide Navigation and Status Bar on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

Note: – After activating Immersive mode on Galaxy S8 or after you hide Galaxy S8 Navigation bar and Status bar, you can get your navigation bar or status bar visible again by swiping from the top or bottom of the screen.

How to Hide Navigation and Status Bar on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

  1. First enable USB debugging from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
  2. Install the ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and then restart if you already have the driver installed then skip this step.
  3. Now connect your phone to PC and use the following commands –To hide Galaxy S8 status bar only –
    adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*

    To hide Galaxy S8 navigation bar only –

    adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=*

    To hide both status and nav bar –

    adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.full=*

    Back to normal/default type –

    adb shell settings put global policy_control null*
  4. Done! The above command will hide Samsung Galaxy S8 Navigation bar, Status bar or both.
