How to Install Stock B560 Nougat Firmware on Huawei Mate 8 –
1) First, you need to unlock the bootloader of Mate 8 and download and install a custom recovery. If you already had an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery installed on your device then skip this step.
2) Download Huawei Mate 8 Android Nougat ROM from above and save it on your device.
3) Now first unroot your device from SuperSu settings.
4) Now Boot your device into TWRP Recovery mode.
5) In TWRP first flash the update.zip file, which is 1400MB in size. If it will give you an error, ignore it and without rebooting move to the next step.
6) Now flash the second firmware file with 539MB in size.
7) wait until the process finish.
8) Done! Reboot your device and enjoy.

Sorry for the late reply..I was busy lately, and that’s why I was not able to reply anyone for last one week..The post has two links one is Update firmware and second is data patch. You need to flash both the files to update your device. (Also you need a rooted device for that..Not tested with official dload method)

tried to update as described, but always get error 7 (data cant be mounted) in TWRP for both files, and when i reboot all is like before. i am on L29c432b320
I have been trying to install this update for weeks. During my search I have read in several places that you cannot update from the B320 software/EMUI 4.1. You need to rollback to EMUI 4.0. Good luck!!

Yes you can loose the Root access. TWRP and ROOT available for Mate 8 on Nougat.

I have been trying to install this update for weeks. I get one of three scenarios when using TWRP. I either get the unable to mount /data error, the binary file error, or it just reboots into TWRP. I have also tried the dload method. In addition, I cannot relock my bootloader. Please help!

I live in the US and my current version. Is NXT-L29C636B563. Is this the correct version for my country. Also I unlocked the bootloader and now want to lock it but how can I lock the bootloader it keeps failing to lock using ADB.
