Mobile World Congress (MWC) is going on, and many brands launched their devices including a flagship device from LG. LG also announced its smartphone LG G5 with Modules. Most impressive thing for LG G5 is its unique modular design, and detachable Modules lets users to add accessories to their phone like Cam Plus, which convert your phone into a digital camera and enhance your photographic experience. Also, the module adds 1200 mAh extra battery to the phone. The users also enhance their audio experience with Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play module on the LG G5. LG calls all the modules its ‘Friends‘.
At the launch, Juno Cho, President, and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, “The new LG G5 will encourage owners to rediscover the true joy of a mobile life. The G5 and LG Friends are the result of many experts inside LG asking themselves if it was still possible to be innovative and unique in the smartphone space. I think once customers spend a little time with the LG G5, their answer will be a resounding yes.”
LG G5 comes with a whole new design with its complete metal unibody which looks more premium than its predecessor G4. The LG G5 with modules sports a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 554ppi. LG G5 powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB). The phone has powerful Adreno 530 GPU for graphics and gaming performance.
LG G5 has a dual back camera, 16MP Rear camera with an aperture of F1.8 with dual led flash and secondary rear camera of 8MP with aperture F2.4 for wide angle (135 degrees) photos. On the front, it has 8MP camera. Also, the phone is running on Marshmallow Android 6.0 and comes with a 2800 mAh removable battery with USB Type-C and fast charging option. LG also unveiled the LG 360 Cam, LG Rolling Bot, LG 360 VR and LG Smart Controller.
LG 360 Cam – LG 360 Cam is a 360-degree angle camera equipped with two 13MP back to back which records 200-degree wide-angle image and instantly uploads the images and videos to Google Street View and YouTube360.
Rolling Bot – Rolling Bot is a small drone that will be controlled by your smartphone. It is used for the fun purpose or home monitoring it comes with an integrated 8MP camera, speakers, microphone, and with a laser pointer.
LG 360 VR – LG also announced the LG 360 VR, Which will be connected to your smartphone via USB cable. You can use this virtual reality headset with the LG G5 only. LG 360 VR is compatible with YouTube 360 and any Google Cardboard apps.
LG Smart Controller – LG smart controller is used to control rolling bot or drones.
