The update is a latest Stable build and rolled out in phase wise manner. Marshmallow update for Honor 7 is currently rolling out only in Asia region for a model number PLK-UL00. The update is available via company’s official app HiCare. You can also download the OTA file and Update Honor 7 to Marshmallow Manually. Steps to Manually Update Honor 7 to Marshmallow –
Method 1 –
How to Upgrade Honor 7 with HiCare App –
1) First, download the latest version of HiCare App from PlayStore.
2) Open the HiCare app and select the region as Asia Pacific and location India (English).
3) Click on OS upgrade option.
4) Go to the Version Update agree on terms and conditions and click on Apply.
5) Now a pop-up window appears, click on the system update and then click on check for updates.
6) Now you will see the New version update, click on it to update Honor 7 to the latest version.
Method 2
Manual update via OTA file –
1) First, download Android 6.0 OTA file for Honor 7 from above.
2) Now create a folder dload in the root of your internal storage or SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.
3) Now go to the phone settings–>update and press the menu button.
4) Now select choose Local update.
5) It will detect the update.app and installation process will start.
6) Wait until the installation process is complete and then reboot your device., you have latest firmware
7) Done.
