  2. Hey, I have never done any update of my OP2. It shows Android- 5.1.1 & Oxygen 2.2.1…I downloaded the file for 2.2.1 to 3.0.2…now, what should I do..will the update wipe my data?….do I need to take backup? Please guide..

    • Yes take backup and it is recommanded to wipe cache and data from recovery before you update it to latest version.

      • Hey…During backup my phone storage shows 19.6 GB free of 54 GB but after copying everything even the system folders it only add upto 21.8 GB…I dont understand where is the remaining 12.6 GB data…can you help..also since I havent rooted or formatted my phone..i am on stock firmware…do i still need to wipe data?

          • Sumit

Yes you still need to wipe (As your OS vs changes from Lollipop to Marshmallow)…without formatting your data it may work or chance are also that you are facing bootloop issues. So its better to clear cache and data before processing it only deletes app data not complete internal storage

    • If you are on stock firmware then no need to format any data but for rooted users clean flash is recommended
