- Download ADB and fastboot driver for windows orADB and Fastboot for Mac and install it on your PC. This will also install your device driver.
- Download CF Auto Root for Nexus 6P (Angler).
- Download CF Auto Root for Nexus 5 X (Bullhead).
- Download CF Auto Root for Nexus 6 (Shamu).
- Download CF Auto Root for Nexus 9 (Flounder volantis).
- Download CF Auto Root for Nexus 9 (Flounderlte volantisg).
Steps to Root Android N Developer Preview with CF Auto Root –
1) Download the Appropriate CF-Auto-Root zip file for your device from above link.
2) Now turn off your phone and boot your device into the bootloader mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power Key.
3) In fastboot mode Connect your phone to your PC via USB Cable.
4) Now unzip the CF-Auto-Root file.
5) In CF-Auto-Root folder, you have seen these three files-
- root-windows.bat
- root-linux.sh
- root-mac.sh
6) Now run root-windows.bat if you are using a Windows PC, run root-linux.sh If you are on Linux and run root-mac.sh if you on Mac PC.
7) After you run the above command, your device will successfully root.
