How to Unlock bootloader of Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL

 If you buy a Google Pixel or Pixel XL and planning to install a custom ROM or want to root your phone, then you have to unlock the bootloader of Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL first. Make sure warranty of your phone will void after unlocking bootloader or rooting. How to unlock bootloader of Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL –

1) First enable ‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.

2) Install the ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and then restart if you already have the driver installed then skip this step.
3) After installation of the driver, you can see a folder named ADB in your installation directory. Enter into the folder and you find four files including ADB and fastboot.exe.

4) Now press and hold ‘shift’ key and right-clicked anywhere in the folder and select ‘Open command window here’.

5) Now download dePixel8 from above and then issue the following commands one by one –

adb push dePixel8 /data/local/tmp

adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/dePixel8

adb shell /data/local/tmp/dePixel8

5) Now your phone reboot into bootloader mode.

6) Now follow the below command to unlock bootloader of Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

fastboot oem unlock

7) If it asks for confirmation on your device, then confirm it by press Volume Up key and the power key to select yes.

8) Above step will unlock the bootloader of Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Now reboot your device with the following command.

fastboot reboot
