Vivo has officially commenced internal beta testing for its highly anticipated OriginOS 5 custom skin, ahead of its full unveiling at the 2024 Vivo Developer Conference on October 10 in Shenzhen. The company has opened registrations for the OriginOS 5 Internal Beta Testing, offering select Vivo and iQOO device users the chance to experience the upcoming software before its public release.
New Features in OriginOS 5
In addition to its advanced AI capabilities, OriginOS 5 brings a host of new design elements and enhancements:
- Dynamic Effects: More detailed and fluid animations throughout the system.
- Depth-of-Field Wallpapers: New wallpapers with immersive depth-of-field effects.
- Customizable Lock Screens: New lock screen wallpapers and widgets that allow for more personalization.
- Dynamic Island-Like Interface: A centered interface design, reminiscent of Apple’s Dynamic Island, for better usability.

Registration Details
The registration window for OriginOS 5 beta testing opened at 11:00 AM CST on September 25 and will close at 11:59 PM CST on October 6. Participants who successfully register will be part of a testing pool limited to 2,000 users per device model. Of these, 300 participants will have Login enabled, while the remaining 1,700 will participate without Login.
Vivo reserves the right to adjust the number of participants based on registration demand and the completeness of user information provided during sign-up. The final list of beta testers will be announced by 10:00 PM CST on October 8.
