hi Sumit, though TWRP is there on my mi4, i am not able to flash any custom ROM on it. Any idea why?

    It shows below error:

Updated process ended with ERROR: 7
    Error installing zip file ‘/sdcard/aosp_concro-ota-eng.vasishath.zip’

checking if you can help here?

    • Status 7 Error happens due to two reasons
      1) If you are using an old version of TWRP update it.
      2) If you are installing directly from Lollipop or Nougat or Kitkat to Marshmallow. Means if you skip an Android version. If this is the reason then first try Marshmallow based ROM then flash Nougat based ROM.

Let me know if this helps.

it could not work. i tried stock rom and then updated it to latest one on Marshmellow. then i rooted it and tried flashing Nugget thru TWRP. however same ‘error 7’ showed.

  4. i tried flashing twrp the way you have mentioned above. But it repeatedly shows error can’t load recovery.img

I’ve tried and looked for the Mi4W drivers for hours now. MI PC Suite is working, so it seems the correct drivers are loaded. In Device Manager -> portable devices Mi4W is mentioned, but fastboot keeps giving the message “error: no devices/emulators found”. Could you help me?
