His hearing loss is permanent and health insurance won’t cover the implants he needs. Ruben is also a recovering drug addict who is reaching the limits of his sobriety trying to adjust to his life.

The Last Black Man In San Francisco is a story about a young man named Jimmie whose lifelong goal is to buy back his childhood home that was built by his paternal grandfather in a now gentrified section of San Francisco. The house’s value is in the several millions and has a white couple living there with no indication that they ever plan on moving or selling. Jimmie takes the necessary steps to begin to make his lifelong goal a reality.

3) Crawl

Crawl is a story about a young woman named Haley who ignores evacuation orders during a massive category five hurricane to check up on her estranged father. When she reaches him, he’s badly wounded and the hurricane has already begun to hit his home. As the waters quickly rise both find themselves trapped with no escape.

4) Bumblebee

Bumblebee is the origin story of B-127 later known as Bumblebee from the Transformers franchise who was sent down to Earth to protect earth, but while on the run one of his enemies damages his memory core and voicebox. He takes cover in a scrapyard nearby and is found by Charlie while she’s searching for parts. The shop owner gives her the yellow Volkswagen Beetle in his yard for her birthday or her to quickly learn that her present isn’t what she thought.

5) Fighting With My Family

Fighting With My Family is a movie inspired by real life wrestling star Paige. In the movie siblings Saraya and Zac were raised in a wrestling family. The whole family travels to small towns for small gigs across the country to make a living, but along the way Saraya and Zac get a chance to audition for the WWE. Will they make it big? Will this be the big break they were always hoping for or will it prove to be too much to handle?
