What is Xposed: – Xposed is an app for root users that allows you to install different modules to customize your phone. The primary motive of the Xposed framework is to get all customization and features you found on a custom ROM  to your Stock ROM. You can also use Xposed with custom ROMs, and not every ROM has all features, and everyone has different views on customization so you can choose the modules you love and get your own personal customization. Xposed is for those people who wants to stay with stock ROM but want some system level changes in their phones.

With Xposed modules you can add custom tiles to power menu, notification drawer, add status bar customization, add an on-screen navigation bar, you can also use the multi window to use two apps on one screen. Also, you can use all in one tweaking module like Gravity box or Xblast tool. These are some information about Xposed now we discuss how to install Xposed for Samsung Devices but before proceed you have to download some files first.

Files required to Download Xposed for Samsung Devices –

  • Download Xposed Installer APK: Download
  • Download Xposed Framework uninstaller: Download

Download Xposed for Samsung devices running Android Lollipop –

  • ARM: Download (ARM means the devices that are running on arm32 operating system like Galaxy S5, Note4, etc.)
  • ARM64: Download (ARM64 means devices that are running on arm64 operating system like Galaxy S7/S6, Note5, and all their variants.)

Download Xposed for Samsung devices running Android Marshmallow:

  • ARM: Download  (ARM means the devices that are running on arm32 operating system like Galaxy S5, Note4, etc.)
  • ARM64: Download  (ARM64 means devices that are running on arm64 operating system like Galaxy S7/S6, Note5, and all their variants)
  • ARM alt: Download (alt version should be used for some Note4 variants: N910P/G and Note Edge N915F running Marshmallow TW Roms)

Note: –

  • This app needs a rooted device. You can check how to root an android phone.
  • You must have a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM installed.
  • You should be on Samsung Stock (Odexed and Deodexed) 5.1/6.0 Roms
  • For safer side take a complete backup of your device.

How to install Xposed on Samsung Devices –

1) First, make sure you have enabled ‘Unknown Sources’ option. You find it here Settings –>Security –>Unknown sources.

2) There are different versions of Xposed framework available for different types of CPU’s. To check your CPU architecture install the app called ‘Hardware Info’  from play store, open it and click on the processor. It will show you which type of processor your device have.

3) Download the suitable Framework zip and Xposed installer for your device and move it to your sd card.

4) Reboot your phone into Recovery mode by using a combination of ‘Power +Home + Volume Up’.

5) In TWRP recovery, click ‘Install’ and select the Xposed framework file zip file you downloaded from above.

6) Simply swipe the slider and select wipe cache/Dalvik and reboot your device. At first boot, it will take some time so be patience.

7) Now install Xposed installer and open the app after installation. Go to the framework and you see that ‘Xposed Framework version XX is active.’ This means you install Xposed for Samsung Devices successfully. Now move to the download section and start browsing modules you love.

How to Uninstall Xposed Framework –

Now if you don’t like xposed or if you stuck in bootloop or Stuck on a Samsung logo then you can easily uninstall Xposed framework from Android device.

1) First, download the Xposed Framework Uninstaller.zip from above and save it to your phone internal/external storage.

2) Now boot your device into Recovery mode.

3) Now in recovery click on ‘Install’ and select the Xposed-uninstaller zip file you downloaded from above.

4) Now Flash the zip file and Reboot your device.

5) Done! You have successfully uninstall Xposed Framework from Android device.

    • I installed the ARM (32 bit) and it seemed to work, but when I installed the APK it says Xposed is not available for Arm v7 and it says the framework is not installed.

  2. I cant install the zip. I always get an error: error executing updater binary in zip. I got a GT-I9505 (galaxy s4) with andoid 5.0.1 and use the arm zip.

  3. I tried installing it once, but I got stuck on bootloop and had to uninstall it. Since I was running a Stock ROM, I decided to try it again, this time, on a DEODEXED/ROOTED Stock ROM. So I flashed that new ROM and then, gave xposed another try! Got stuck on bootloops again! I just don’t know what to do to get it up and running. :/ It’s simply frustrating.

  5. I have a Sprint Note 4 N910P with armv7 and using “ARM alt: Download (alt version should be used for some Note4 variants: N910P/G and Note Edge N915F running Marshmallow TW Roms)” WORKED!!! It took a while and it seemed it was back into bootloop but eventually it got going. Thanks!

    i am using samsung galaxy note edge (sm-n915g) i download arm but it just freezes on samsung loggin screen…n when i tried alt arm it installs but when i install xpose apk it says file corrupt …pls help :(

    I have Samsung galaxy note 3 running Android 5.0. I get past the Samsung logo, but it seems to stay on the carrier screen, 20 minutes. I don’t go past twenty minutes on that screen I feel like it is stuck. Am I being impatient?

I have a quick question I have a Samsung Galaxy tab e 560nu I download hardware info the ARM is ARMV7 so I guess it would be the regular ARM file I downloaded xposed-v86.0-sdk23-arm-custom-build-by-wanam-20160709 haven’t flashed it yet just Wana make sure before I do… I’m running stock roms 6.0.1 it was upgraded to that….I have twrp for my recovery ….also downloaded xposed-uninstaller-20160211 in case I get stuck on bootloop…. after I flash that Frame work do I need to install the apk Exposed ? Thanks for your help and time….
