As we know Google Assitant is exclusive to Google’s Pixel devices only. But developers finds a way to Enable Google Assistant on any Android Phone running on Android Nougat. If you are using rooted device with Xposed Framework installed then you can use Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow also. Below we share both methods to Enable Google Assistant on any Android Phone.

System Image of Google Pixel is now available and developers already start porting Pixel’s apps to other devices. But one the key feature of google pixel Google Assistant is not ported by any developer. Thanks to the XDA member brianelv, who finds a way to Enable Google Assistant on any Android Phone running on Android 7.0 Nougat. This method requires rooted devices and a simple build.prop tweak. You can also use the flashable zip to Enable Google Assistant on Android 7.0 Nougat.

How to Enable Google Assistant on Android Nougat

1) Note – 

  • Your device must be Rooted or TWRP Recovery installed.
  • Your device must be running Android 7.0 Nougat.
  • Latest Google App must be installed.

2) Download and Install ‘BuildProp Editor’ from Play store and open it.

3) Now take backup of your build.prop and click on edit button to edit the file.

4) Now add or replace the below line to your device’s build.prop –

ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true

5) Apply the changes to the build.prop and reboot your device.

6) If you don’t know about build.prop then you can simply flash this file from TWRP to Enable Google Assistant on Android Nougat.

7) If Google Assistant won’t work then clear Google App data by –

  • Go to Settings -> Apps -> Google app.
  • Select Storage and tap Clear Cache.

How to Enable Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow

1) Note – 

  • Your device must be Rooted or TWRP Recovery installed.
  • Your device must be running Android Marshmallow.
  • Xposed Framework must be installed on your device.

2) We supposed you already rooted your phone with Xposed installed.

3) Download N-infy Xposed Module and install it on your device.

4) Activate the above module and Reboot your device.

5) Now download the latest version of Google app.

  • If you are using Arm version then download this version of Google App.
  • If you are using Arm64 version then download this version of Google App.

6) Clear Google App data by –

  • Go to Settings -> Apps -> Google app.
  • Select Storage and tap Clear Cache.

7) Now open the Google app, say Okay Google from anywhere and press ‘do it later’ everytime.

8) Done! Now you can use Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow.
