Gionee S8 With 3D Touch and Dual WhatsApp Launched at MWC 2016

Gionee launched its Flagship Device Gionee S8 with 3D touch and dual WhatsApp at MWC 2016 in Barcelona and unveiled its new logo with a tagline of ‘Make Smiles’. Gionee S8 has an invisible antenna loop with an all-metallic design. The Gionee S8 offering a pressure sensitive 3D touch display which works same as the iPhone. It can sense three levels of force including touch to select anything, tap to preview the content and hard press to run the app same as the iPhone.

Gionee S8 features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401PPI. Gionee S8 powered by an 1.9GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and Mali-T860MP2 GPU with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (Expandable up to 128GB). On the camera front, Gionee S8 has a 16MP (with an aperture of f/1.8) primary camera with PDAF and laser autofocus system and 8MP of front camera for selfies. Also, it supports features like time lapse and slow motion video and packs with 3000 mAh battery.

The phone runs on Gionee’s latest Amigo 3.2 UI, which based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The phone comes with a Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD) and has dual 4G connectivity with VoLTE. It comes with some interesting features like Dual WhatsApp and Dual WeChat with that you can use two different WhatsApp and WeChat accounts simultaneously. Gionee S8 also has a text recognition (OCR) feature which will scan your text and automatically converted to a document. It has also come with a built-in Video editor app with that you can edit videos on your own.

Gionee S8 will be available from March end and will be priced 449 Euros (approx. Rs 34,000). It will have come with three colour option Rose Gold, Gold and Silver colour options.
