How to Update Huawei P9 Lite to Android Nougat Manually –
1) First, you need to unlock the bootloader of Huawei P9 Lite and download and install a custom recovery. If you already had an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery installed on your device then skip this step.
2) Download Huawei P9 Lite Nougat ROM from above and save it on your device.
3) Now first unroot your device from SuperSu settings.
4) Now Boot your device into TWRP Recovery mode.
5) In TWRP first flash the update.zip file, which is 1300MB in size. It will give you an error, ignore it and without rebooting move to the next step.
6) Now flash the second firmware file with 684MB in size.
7) wait until the process finish.
8) Done! Reboot your device and enjoy.

I am on Firmware b161 for the p9 Lite Dualsim (Europe). No chance to install any Nougat Beta Firmware. What do i wrong??? Can someone help me?
What would happen if a person did everything correctly, step by step, but messed up and the phone booted before person in question could flash the second firmware file?

On the positive side everything looks alright inside except that the version says Android 4.3 but shows the N if you tap on it, EMUI version says 2 instead of 5 but looks like 5 as well. Also it doesn’t seem like there was any worrying data loss either.

Hi thanks for this tutorial. I have almost got it working. I Flashed the update.zip however I didn’t realise there was a second .zip i needed (i thought they were mirrors!) So I only flashed the 1300 mb .zip. I am worried now because it seems to be running 7.0 because the ui has changed, but I havne’t installed the second part. How can I go about this because now the TWRP won’t boot (because it’s technically in 7.0)?
Yes only update.zip will boot your phone to Android 7.0. Second zip is only data patch.
