What if i bought a Le max 2 from an Aliexpress seller that preinstalled a custom rooted rom based on Eui 16S.

You can find that system update icon on your app drawer or go to Settings->System Update or go to Settings->about device–>System Update

For those who won’t find system update icon can rename the rom to update.zip and Put the file in the root of your phone storage (Internal storage (Not into a folder)), reboot the phone into recovery and update from zip file.

I tried to update my new LeEco Le Max 2 form original 16s to 19s EUI version but without success. Double checked the zip file for errors. It is OK but when I start the Recovery mode after several seconds it gives error message: failed to update cause: corrupted. Could you give any advice?

Your downloaded file is corrupted. Did you unzip the file successfully?
Yes, I checked the file with 7-Zip and it gives OK. I downloaded the recent stock ROM published on the LeEco web site. I found out that there are many people that bought LeEco Le Max 2 that have same problem and can’t update their phones. No one has replied that has succeeded with update LE_X2_X820-OS-OP-FGXOSOP5801910121S.

The X829, if that is what you have, is from a failed US launch. It would appear to update that you need to first install TWRP and then you can cross flash the X820 firmware to replace it. XDA has further details. At this time the current X820 rom is 23s and a leaked 26s version.
So what you mean sir, is that x829 can be replaced by a ROM for x820? I happen to have a x829 and an old x822. I want to flash them with new ROM since the preinstalled one is very buggy.
