How to Install Moto G5 Android 8.1 Oreo via TWRP Recovery
1) First Download the TWRP Backup file from above.
2) Now extract the zip file and copy the folder in the internal memory of your Moto G5.
3) Now Boot your phone into TWRP recovery.
4) Now do a Factory Reset by Goto Wipe>Advanced Wipe>Select Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, System, and data and swipe to confirm it.
5) Now click on Restore and select the OEM, SYSTEM, BOOT partitions to restore the system.
6) After installation, Reboot your device.
7) Done!
How to Install Moto G5 Android 8.1 Oreo OTA
1) To manually check the update, you can head over to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check For Update.
2) Enable ‘USB debugging’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
3) Download ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and install it on your PC.
4) Download the Oreo OTA Zip file for Moto G5 from above Copy ROM to ADB folder.
6) Now Turn Off your phone and boot into recovery mode.
7) Choose Apply Update from ADB
8) Now Connect your phone to Laptop/PC
9) On ADB and Fastboot folder, press shift+right click and click on open command here.
10) Now check your connection by typing the below command
adb devices
if your device is listed you’re ready to flash the ROM
11) Flash the Oreo OTA on Moto G5 by typing below command
adb sideload File_name.zip
12) Now wait until the process complete and then Reboot the phone (first boot will be longer than 5 minutes)
